 | About UsAs minister I would like to welcome you to Rhos on Sea Methodist Church on the balmy North Wales Coast. Rhos is a picturesque small town between Colwyn Bay and Llandudno and is a very busy holiday spot all year round with many day trippers arriving to enjoy the local area which includes coffee shops, a lovely beach and small harbour, fishing trips, and local specialist retailers. The Methodist Church is on Rhos Road just up from the sea front and is a fellowship of around 150 people ranging in age from toddlers to those in the 2nd and even 3rd childhood`s. Rhos is very much an area that people to retire to so we have a number of members who are housebound or in nursing or residential homes in the area. The pastoral care from the church is excellent and regular visits are received from myself and a dedicated group of visitors. A voluntary lay worker and pastoral visitors help in the pastoral care offered by the church. A bereavement support service has been established in recognition of the age profile of the population and the need for bereavement support. We have Junior Church and enjoy all-age services to celebrate special occasions where the whole congregation, of all ages, worship together in a less formal atmosphere. Our main service on a Sunday morning sees a congregation of between 80 and 120 with a monthly service of Holy Communion. Sunday evening worship takes place on the first and third Sundays of each month. Please see our worship page for the latest services. The excellent suite of premises is very well used by groups from the community during the week and groups of Brownies and Girls` Brigade stay during the summer.
